Victory Fitness offers a variety of safe, fun, and effective group fitness classes throughout the week, mornings and evenings, to fit your busy schedule.  We look forward to adding many more classes to the schedule as our membership increases.  We welcome you to join us!

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)  Classes are open to ALL:

The lunchtime Pilates, Ballin', Step Aerobics, Core Conditioning and Soul Line Dance classes are open to both RIT employees, alum and families as well as the general public.  RIT constituents can register for classes at  http://finweb.rit.edu/betterme/fitness.html#classes.  Those outside of the RIT family can take classes as well as use the other fitness facilities for only a $5 walk-in fee.  Simply enter the facility, the RIT Gordon Fieldhouse, parking lot D.  Instructor: Rosalind Walker.  Call Victory Fitness at (585) 370-2480 for more information.

Pilates  Classes at U of R Center for Community Health (46 Prince Street):

Gain strength and flexibility with Pilates! This class is free to all University of Rochester employees. The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30am-8:15am.  Instructor: Rosalind Walker.  Call Victory Fitness at (585) 370-2480 for more information.

 

Foverever Fit Classes at Valley Manor (1570 East Avenue):

Low-impact cardio, toning & stretching performed at half pace that can be done either standing or seated.  The mean age in this class is 85 years young! All are welcomed.  Class meets on Tuesdays & Thursdays 9am-10am.  This class has run continuously since May 2006.  First visit is free.  Cost: $7/class billed at the end of the month according to your attendance.  Instructor: Rosalind Walker.  Call (585) 370-2480 for more info or get more info at this link.

 

Zumba Gold Classes at Oasis Rochester's Headquarters (259 Monroe Avenue (Monroe Square/Old Sears Building)): Ditch the workout and join the party.  ZUMBA Gold is a fitness program specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and International dance rhythms created in the original ZUMBA and bring them to the active older adult or the beginner participant that may need modifications for success. This class is for those over 50 years old! Senior Pilates Classes at Oasis' Lifetime Care location (3111 South Winton Road): Gain strength and flexibility with Pilates! Pilates is a form of exercise, developed in the 1920's by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement.  This class is for the active older adult over 50 years old or the beginner participant that may need modifications for success.   This workout is a great complement your other workouts.  All are welcomed.  This class runs every quarter.  This session, the class meets on Mondays 9:45am-10:45am, May 2- August 8, 2011.  Cost is $50 total for all classes.  Instructor: Rosalind Walker.  Call Oasis at (585) 730-8800 to register or get more info at this link.

 

Bone Builders Classes at Oasis' Lifetime Care location (3111 South Winton Road): Safe for those who have been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, this fun and effective total body workout focuses on muscle strengthening, coordination and balance.  Participants must bring 2-5 lb. dumbbells.  Both standing and seated exercises will be used.  All are welcomed.  This class runs every quarter.  This session, the class meets on Thursdays 1:45pm-2:45pm, May 5 - August 11, 2011.  Cost is $50 total for all classes.  Instructor: Rosalind Walker.  Call Oasis at (585) 730-8800 to register or get more info at this link.
